Meet The Founder

Jonathan L. Weston is the founder of Wanderland Campground and the author of Camping Is For Everyone. His passion for the outdoors is rooted in a belief that nature should be approachable, inclusive, and free from intimidation.

After years of experiencing how overwhelming outdoor spaces can feel for newcomers, Jonathan set out to create a campground that removes barriers and invites people in — regardless of experience level. Since opening Wanderland, he has welcomed thousands of guests, many of whom were first-time campers discovering a new appreciation for the outdoors.

Jonathan’s vision for Wanderland is simple: create a safe, welcoming space where people can learn, explore, and reconnect with nature at their own pace.
